What Now?
So...what’s an executive to do? Everyone seems to know that networking is the #1 key. And while this is true, most go about networking in less-than-optimal ways (which is why most of us are so turned off by the mere mention of the word.)
Observing how most job seekers operate, they demonstrate their belief that networking is all about getting others to help you with information and contacts that they possess and that you do not. Now, they may not ACTUALLY believe this...but that IS what their actions SAY they believe.
